Frequently
Asked Questions
What is your fee?
My fee is $145 per session. Deciding to work with a therapist at a private pay rate is an investment that can be valuable when you feel like your therapist is an excellent match and they are able to provide services that are not as easily found elsewhere.
For instance, at my practice, Child Parent Relationship Therapy and Rebozo Healing are offerings that I specialize in and have extensive training and experience with.
I can generate a Superbill that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Please keep in mind that reimbursement is subject to the discretion of your provider.
Do you accept insurance?
I currently have a limited number of insurance spots available. Offering both private pay and insurance rates helps keep my services as accessible as possible. Please contact me for more information if you’d like to pay with insurance.
Where are you located/How do we meet?
I have availability to meet in person at my office which is located at 5523 Bee Caves Road. Building E, Suite 2 Austin, TX 78746. I also see clients virtually and via walk and talk.

If we are meeting online, you will not need to download anything, you will just need internet connection and whatever device you will be utilizing (i.e. phone, laptop, tablet). Our sessions will be conducted through a HIPPA compliant platform called Simple Practice to ensure your confidentiality. Meeting online can be convenient for many folks and can be just as effective as meeting in person.
What is walk and talk therapy?
Walk and talk therapy is therapy that is done outside at a park, community garden, or other outdoor public setting. Some clients prefer to go for a walk while we have our sessions, while others may prefer to sit somewhere while we meet in a beautiful outdoor space. Nature can be a powerful tool to support clients to regulate their nervous system when doing therapeutic work.
I am mindful of confidentiality when I am working with clients in this way, and we can discuss any concerns you might have around this beforehand.
What are your credentials/work experience?
I have a M.S. from Loyola University New Orleans in mental health counseling and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I have over 10 years of experience working in mental health as a therapist. I began my career working with parents and children and then transitioned to working with adults as well over the past several years. A majority of my career has been spent working in community mental health, and it has been within the past several years that I have moved into group practice and then my own practice.
I have found that as I have evolved and changed my interests in the populations I work with with has a well. I believe that my experience working with folks throughout different stages of development has informed the work I do now by providing me with an overarching view of development from childhood to adulthood. This is particularly helpful as even as adults, we all have younger parts.
My experience working in community mental health has also supported me by giving me a more systemic view of the challenges clients may be facing in their daily lives.
What therapeutic modalities do you utilize?
In our work together, I often utilize somatic experiencing, parts work, trauma informed care, and person centered therapy, while largely focusing on the therapeutic relationship. Studies show that the greatest measure for success in the therapy is the therapeutic relationship between therapists and the individuals they are working with.

What can I expect for our first session?
Our first session will look different from all the sessions that follow. During our first session I am gathering information to give me a snapshot of what brings you in and your history. I will only encourage you to share as much as you comfortable with at this first session, as starting out can be overwhelming for a lot of folks and we are just building our relationship. We can take this as slow as you need, and I will meet you where you are at as we begin our journey together.
